Allow me to share my vision with you and why I started Sunny Realty.
After graduating Polytechnic Institute with a computer science degree, I launched my own computer consulting firm
in New York city where I’ve had a very successful carrier as an IT consultant on Wall Street. My client’s list include
some of the largest blue-chip companies such as J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Payne-Webber, Bear Stearns and Panasonic.
After I moved to Miami, Florida in 1993, I saw a great potential for Florida’s luxury real estate. It offered more
than any other destination in the world – year-round sunny whether, beautiful sandy beaches, warm Atlantic waters and
a vibrant multi-cultured city on the verge of new real estate development era.
Soon Miami became one of the most popular destination for rich and famous Europeans as well as South Americans.
Everyone was looking for a good opportunity to invest into real estate and I quickly realized that there isn’t any
source out there that would combine the information every investor is looking for – up-to-date inventory organized
in an easy to understand manner. There wasn’t even a source that would list all currently available properties in
condominium or a community area. The investor had to rely on the information realtor or the developer presented,
which was often bias.
I decided to create my own web site which would help me as well as others to better understand and predict the
real estate market trends as well as an easy to use resource for the ever changing Miami real estate’s inventory.
At that time I realized that luxury real estate was my passion, so I launched my own real estate company - Sunny Realty.
While most realtors cared little about the quality of the properties they were selling, I was always interested in
educating my clients and present an overall picture or a “health-index” of a condominium or a single-family community.
I came up with “condo rating system” for each luxury condominium. My rating is based on price trends, condo association
stability, how popular and desirable among buyers, average days on the market to sell, amount of units available for sale
in comparison to a total amount of units in the building, how well the building is maintained, amenities and services
offered in the building, amount of short sales and foreclosures currently available for sale.
Sunny Realty became the first company of its kind to provide investors around the world with the opportunity to
research and understand the trends of Miami real estate market at whole as well as trends of each luxury condominium
or a community, which often are mutually exclusive to one another. I also wanted my clients to be able to monitor
real estate conditions and pull the trigger at the right moment, because timing is of the most importance when
investing in real estate.
Today, more than 90% of homebuyers start their search online, according to Realtor Magazine, and that trend is
